Joshua T. Mathews is a trained Tax and Transactions attorney, who obtained a Master's in Tax Law after receiving his Juris Doctorate degree. And while he still assists small and large businesses with Tax Planning and Transactions work, he now spends a great deal of time working with businesses and individuals contemplating bankruptcy, litigating business and real estate disputes, or assisting Moms and Dads who are facing divorce or child custody battles.
In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Mathews has been Vice-President of a multi-national corporation and has spent significant time working outside the U.S. directing both sales and operations. It is this unique experience that allows him to truly understand the needs and concerns of businesses, as well as their managers and owners.

A Different Way to Serve Clients
One of our most important guiding philosophies is that we do everything we can to prevent our clients from experiencing "sticker shock" for our legal services. For almost every legal job we do, our clients will know ahead of time exactly how much time it will take and how much the work will cost.
We do almost all work for a flat fee or on a contingency fee basis. For flat-fee work, clients pay in advance. Thus, our staff does not waste valuable time writing and collecting bills; instead, they are free to devote more time to our clients' cases. For contingency fee work, such as personal injury cases, we do not collect attorneys' fees unless we negotiate a successful settlement or win a jury verdict.
When a client's case requires a formal lawsuit and courtroom time, we are able to split our fees into monthly installment payments. With a more complicated case, we may not know exactly how long it will take, but we do everything in our power to keep our clients informed about the cost so they can plan and budget as necessary.
